With these words, the Vice-President Elect of the United States of America, Senator Kamala Harris marked her triumphant entry as the first highest-ranking political officer who is a woman in America’s 244-year existence. Harris, who steadily rose from a prosecutor to California’s attorney general and then to the U.S. Senate, has by this feat punched through the glass ceiling that many thought could never be shattered.

From this emergent scenario, there are a semblances to our Cars45 culture as well as a few lessons to learn.

Representation and diversity matter. The election of the 56-years-old Harris provides a refreshing and hopeful spin. However, it also reinforces OLX Autos and Cars45 culture of ensuring that women participate across all levels of work function and we have seen the benefits ripple across our operations — retail operations, inspections, finance, women are crushing it!

Another key take out is that women’s leadership contributes to greater cooperation, equality, and stability in organization.
